Hey there Learners and Friends! I am Tara… but everyone just calls me T.
As a wife, mother, teacher, and children’s literature enthusiast, I have come to the conclusion that, for me, life [aka “my WHY”] is all about making connections. I truly believe that alone we are strong; however, together we can be FIERCE!
I am blessed to be married to very patient and understanding man; who is also a teacher. Together we have 2 children, who not only learn from us, but they teach us so much MORE every day! Together as a family, we connect with love and laughter as we create meaningful memories.
Love and laughter are also a large part of my classroom community. I ensure that my student genuinely know that there are cared about and prized as I assist them in shining like the bright stars that I know they are. Likewise, I strive very hard to establish a team-approach to learning. Here I work WITH parents and students to help facilitate a more active role in learning.
Last, but not not least, I love children’s books, especially hardcover books SO MUCH that I often wonder if I need a “support group” or “an intervention”!!! I seriously get so much joy from reading books aloud and using children’s literature to anchor learning. Each book has so many possibilities to connect with learning, and I am always thrilled to share my thoughts, ideas, and resources with both teachers and parents alike.
